Survey Crew Chief

As a Crew Chief at Etica Group/PCS Engineers you would assist the survey team with:

  • Associated field data-collection
  • Control
  • Airport
  • Boundary
  • ALTA / NSPS
  • Linear route surveys
  • Topographic surveys

We currently offer the latest survey tools and technologies for our project needs including:

  • Remote communications capabilities
  • Robotic total stations (S7)

Licensed Professional Land Surveyor – Project Manager

 

Etica Group/PCS Engineers is currently seeking an experienced Licensed Professional Land Surveyor Project Manager with a positive attitude to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. As a Land Survey Project Manager, we will develop, advance and diversify you as an individual as you assist the survey team with QA/QC & Project Management including, but not limited to, the following types of projects:

  • Airport
  • Boundary
  • ALTA / NSPS
  • Linear Route Surveys

  • Route Surveys
  • Right of Way Engineering

Project Accountant

 

The Project Accountant is fully responsible for the project billing process, including responding to client inquiries, verifying employee’s chargeable time; in accordance with the established accounting standards and billing policy and project set up. Addition responsibilities will include the handling of incoming payments, reconciliations and necessary paperwork associated with projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively communicate with Project Managers (PM) regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services-related to billing.
  • Prepare final invoice package containing draft and final invoices for all billable projects, including all applicable backup for approval by the Finance Manager.
  • Ensure all clients remain informed on their outstanding debts and deadlines.
  • Maintain the billing folders for all projects, with all the appropriate documents, including expenses, consultant invoices, and monthly invoices, in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Provide the accounts payable team member with advice on client billing, relative to consultant invoicing and reimbursable expenses. It is expected that the Project Accountant maintain a continuous line of communication to clear any open issues.
  • Work with the cash receipts team member to reconcile variances that occur in the application of cash.
  • Generate and distribute bi-monthly receivables reports and monthly profitability reports.
  • Set up new projects, make transfers of employee billable hours and/or expenses, and open and close time classes in company system.
  • Write off any uncollectible receivables, labor or expenses, as directed by the Finance Manager.
  • Monthly analyze the P & L accounts, as assigned by the Finance Manager.
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconcilements, as directed by the Finance Manager.
  • Recommend and implement agreed process improvements to the billing cycle.
  • Provide year-end support of auditor requirements, which may include research and reconcilement.
  • Perform additional assignments, as directed by the Finance Manager.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the local offices as needed.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or some college courses in accounting or business preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, including experience in word processing, spreadsheets and accounting software.
  • Minimum of 4 years of billing and receivables, with at least 2 years in A/E environment.
  • Knowledge of Vision Software or other accounting platform, a plus.
  • A thorough knowledge of standard contract terms, including hourly, lumps sum, not-to-exceed and how they are applied in the billing process.
  • Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities.
  • High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion.
  • Employ problem-solving skills and analysis, and report problems to the Finance Manager, as necessary.

Project Surveyor /CAD Technician

 

Etica Group/PCS Engineers is currently seeking a project surveyor /CAD technician with a positive attitude to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. As a surveyor/CAD technician at Etica Group/PCS Engineers you would assist Licensed Surveyors in CAD as well as other land surveying associated technician tasks, related, but not limited to:

  • Boundary plats
  • ALTA / NSPS
  • Route survey plats
  • Reports
  • Topographic survey drawings

Education and Experience preferred:

  • A 2-year degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in route / topographic projects
  • CAD experience in both AutoCAD and /or Micro-station, preferred but not required.
  • Use of standard industry surveying software, Trimble Business Center (TBC).
  • Ability to read road / bridge plans, interpret deeds, perform route and topographic surveys.
