Coasters with Cultural Values

We spent several months reflecting on Etica’s past, present and future. The words were heavily researched and ultimately selected to represent Etica’s Cultural Values.

Every firm has core values they say they live by that represent the organization. If you ask most employees what they are, they typically don’t know. Having 57% growth over the last five years and moving into a new office, we felt it was time to update our own.  

We don’t want a new set of words to put on our website talking about who we think we are. We want them to reflect who Etica Group is today and aspires to be. That starts with how we refer to them. At the core of our business, this is who we are. As we grow, it defines our culture. They are our Cultural Values and will become a part of the DNA of the firm. 

We spent several months reflecting on Etica’s past, present and future. The below words were heavily researched and ultimately selected to represent Etica’s Cultural Values. For employees and guests’ recognition tools were used for quick association. The letters of Etica were used for the start of each word, or a mnemonic, and we rearranged everything for our new hashtag #AceIt. Check them out!

Some of these words remained the same, but some are new. We aren’t completely changing. We are adapting as the firm continues to grow and embraces a new collaborative office environment. Here’s what they mean to us: 

 

Empower: Performing with the necessary tools, knowledge, ability and authority to achieve success.  

Talent: Creating professional pathways for current and future generations to advance industry expertise.  

Integrity: Acting with honesty and ethical principles to create a whole and unified Etica Group.  

Community: Being a place of acceptance, support, stability, and pride recognized by our clients and peers.  

Accountability: Owning and being responsible for our words, actions, and defined outcomes.  

 

All staff have been provided with branded coasters to use at their desks reflecting the values. We’ve also supplied each conference room with a set, so guests can immediately understand who we are. You’ll get a front row seat the next time you visit. The next step in the visual representation of our Cultural Values will be a feature wall in the lobby…coming soon!
