Interns at Etica

Jun 1, 2020
This summer, we welcomed two new interns to our staff in our Survey and Construction Inspection Departments. Luke and Max have been learning the ropes of the trade since the first week of June, right out of their senior year in high school. Etica has become heavily involved in working with various schools and trade programs throughout Indiana to reach kids at the High School level interested in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction Trades. As kids begin to think about the end of their high school career, our intent is to educate them on what is available within our industry whether they are looking at attending college or wanting to join the work force straight out of high school. In the summer of 2018, Etica Group hired an intern named Jacob to work in our Building Envelope Department. Jacob learned CAD (Computer Aided Design) by working on real, hands-on projects and is now a valued full-time Etica employee. Luke and Max are both bound for college, but we hope their experiences this summer in the field with the Etica team will give them a better understanding of what to expect in the “real world” . Our educational endeavors have just begun. We look forward to helping propel the future workforce within our industry.
